The company supports federal, state, tribal, and local governments and private industry. Since incorporating in 1992, Portage has grown to a staff of more than 400 highly skilled technical and professional personnel. Portage is based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with satellite offices throughout the country.

Portage Award of Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Cleanup Contract Upheld
Portage, Inc., will begin transition activities on the Moab Remedial Action Contract over the next few weeks. The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) ruled earlier this month to uphold the U.S. Department of Energy’s award of the Moab Remedial Action Contract to Portage. In November 2011 DOE awarded Portage a competitive small business contract worth $121.2 million over the next 5 years as part of the Department’s continued efforts to protect the Colorado River and downstream water users by removing uranium mill tailings at the former Atlas uranium-ore processing facility in Moab, Utah. Portage Awarded Nuclear Waste Services Contract
Los Alamos National Security, LLC, announced that it has selected Portage, Inc., to support its mission at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to safely process and package Cold War-era wastes at Technical Area 54 for final disposal. Along with Portage, three other small businesses were selected to compete for task orders worth up to $200 million. Read More...
